Cancun is a coastal city in Mexico's easternmost state Quintana Roo, which lies on the Yucatán Peninsula and is best known as the Mexican Caribbean. Flea markets such as The Zocalo in the centre of the Hotel Zone and Xel Ha in the older section of the city have become popular with tourists in recent years. Cancun holidays are well-known as a non-stop party town, and the town offers an assortment of entertainment, from clubs and discos, to quieter bars and traditional Mexican bars playing Mariachi music.
