JMC Holidays was created by John Mason Cook, the son of the more famously known Thomas Cook who is one of the most famous names in travel history today. Originally known as Sunworld , part of the Thomas Cook Group, it was rebranded as JMC Holidays on the 1st September 1999. Thomas Cook also bought out small companies such as Sunset, Inspirations, Flying Colours and Caledonian Airways which were all brought together under the JMC Holidays name. JMC Holidays have always been well known for budget family holidays, going to popular short destinations such as Majorca and Ibiza .
