Neilson Holidays are now part of Thomas Cook Holidays, but before they joined this popular brand, Neilson came about through two separate companies, one of which provided high class ski holidays and the other specialising in sailing holidays in Greece. The two companies were quite opposite in terms of their destinations, with one taking care of the ski enthusiasts and the other providing trips in the Med, but had the shared values of customer care. In 1999, the two companies finally joined together to become one, which was when the famous orange logo came in to play and Neilson Holidays became their very own brand. In 2005 Neilson were voted the Best Activity Holiday operator and The Best Ski and Board operator at the British Travel Awards, another major achievement for the company.
