Bodrum is a Turkish port town in Mugla Province, in the southwestern Aegean Region of the country; it is located on the southern coast of the Bodrum Peninsula and is one of the most popular Turkey holiday resorts. Other worthwhile Bodrum excursions include the ancient city of Priene, the extraordinary rock formations of Pamukkale known as the ‘Cotton Castle’, the magnificent theatre of Miletus, the Temple of Apollo at Didyma and the ancient city of Ephesus. Bodrum offers a wide, varied choice of nightlife, ranging from energetic bars to stylish, late-night clubs. Any devoted clubbing fan should not miss out on the renowned open-air Halicarnassus Disco.
The harbours in Bodrum are a great places to enjoy a traditional Turkish meal in one of the seafront restaurants, for those of you who would rather stick to more familiar foods will find plenty of alternative cuisines such as Italian, Thai, Chinese, Mexican and European. Start the night in one of the excellent fish restaurants and then go onto one of the many music bars in Bodrum. Holidays in Bodrum are well-known in Turkey for having a lively nightlife.
