Getting there and getting around

The two main airports used for holidays to Cyprus are Paphos and Larnaca. Both airports are served by regular flights from most regional UK airports with both tour operators and low cost carriers including Thomsonfly, Mytravel and Jet2. The resort of Paphos is just 9 miles from the airport and Larnaca is also only a short transfer from its corresponding airport. There are 24 hour taxi services and intercity buses providing transport from the airport to the Cyprus holiday resorts. Car rental is also available at the airports from the usual well-known names including Avis, Europcar and Budget.

The fantastic climate in Cyprus ensures that most visitors spend lots of time down by the beach. Enjoy a day’s walking in the Troodos mountains or visit some of the charming traditional Cypriot villages such as Yeroskipou. Cyprus has a number of fascinating historical sites to visit and ancient monuments such as the Tomb of the Kings and the Baths of Aphrodite.
