If you’re looking for something to occupy the mind on your Lagos holidays then apart from Lagos’ own history you could go on a trip to see all the sites of interest such as the stunning church of Igreja de Santo Antonio, Customs House where the first slave market in Europe was established, and the museum has some interesting historical artefacts. Other excursions could include a boat trip over to the volcanic island of Madeira, which is a great destination for hikers and nature lovers. Take a journey up to the capital city of Lisbon which is crammed with shops, places to eat and has an excellent nightlife. For those who love to shop then visit go into the centre of town where you can often find flea markets to hunt through, also there are many shops and boutiques, especially in the old city.
