To the North of Morocco are fine beaches, lush green valleys, and ancient cities. The city of Fez is an incredible place to stroll around the winding streets that swarm with people buying and selling all manner of goods. Further south are the beautiful Atlas Mountains, Morocco's highest peak is Jebel Toubkal which stands at 13,665 feet and the Mediterranean atmosphere fades into The Sahara. In the southern part of Morocco is Agadir which is the most visited city and a very popular tourist destination, here Morocco's mountain ranges end with the expanse of the Sahara. You can see the awesome sights of the Sahara by camel or horseback trecks or even hire yourself a 4x4 and do it in comfort! Marrakech has a quaint atmosphere, particularly in the old Moroccan cities and town areas, where you can turn a corner onto vibrant marketplaces called souks that offer interesting arts and crafts and quality leather goods. Other cities of interest are Ouarzazate which is situated close to the Mountains and has remarkable valley views. Essaouira is a popular visit, a relaxed coastal town, easy to reach by bus from Marrakech. The town has wonderful stretch of sands, whitewashed buildings and impressive fortifications dating back to the 18th century. If you’re fancying a bit more excitement, over the 1100 mile coast line of Morocco every type of water sport is available, most hotels offer a wide range including surfing, windsurfing, sailing, yachting and kayaking. Away from the coastline there are also water activities, further inland there is white-water rafting on the rivers of the High and Middle Atlas, there are also centres for scuba diving.
Most bars and clubs in Marrakech and the other large towns will keep your Morocco holidays in full party mood. Known to be quite cheap, Morocco holidays offer a wide a variety of restaurants in and around the cities, including French, Italian, Oriental and of course traditional Moroccan Restaurants. Moroccan foods are excellent and defiantly worth ago, try the national dish couscous, Bisteeya; a triple layered savoury pastry, Harira Soup; a traditionally Berber soup or Mechoui, a roasted lamb dish is a Morocco great favourite!
