Although there are no direct Phuket flights, you can fly from the UK to Bangkok and then catch a connection flight to Phuket, which is around 1 hour 30 minutes. At travel.co.uk you can find a wide selection of package holidays to Phuket and compare prices against other leading tour operators. When going on holidays to Phuket the main attraction is the amazing white sandy beaches and warm clear blue waters. One of the most popular and well-loved tourist areas on Phuket is Patong Beach, along the central western coast. The long stretch of beautiful beach is easily accessible and there is plenty of entertainment night and day. Phuket has always been a well known diving spot. The Similan Islands are a perfect dive spot and the second largest beach is Karon Beach, which has amazing coral reefs and is a lot less crowded, making the ideal spot for relaxation. Other laidback beach spots are Kalim Beach, Kamala Beach and Kata Beach, all of which have stunning mountain scenery. Popular water sports include parasailing, jet skiing and banana boating, which can be enjoyed all over Phuket. An excellent day trip is to take a boat over to the undisturbed island of Phi Phi, with its amazing white beaches, stunning cliff scenery and lush jungle landscape. Another popular excursion for nature lovers is the national park in the northwest, with a natural beauty that has managed to remain undisturbed by tourism.
On Phuket holidays you can find a wide selection of restaurants offering everything from exciting traditional Thai cuisine, all the way to the well known western fast food joints. Most of the main night time entertainment can be found in Patong, where there is a vast selection of pubs and bars to dance the night away until the early hours of the morning.
