Virgin Holidays is a company owned by the famous entrepreneur Sir Richard Branson. Part of Mr Branson’s Virgin Group, their vision is to provide the ‘best holidays in the whole wide world.’ Founded in 1985, only a year after the launch of Virgin Atlantic Airways, Virgin are now considered the best long haul, scheduled tour operator in the UK. The company are continuing to expand and now offer holidays to destinations such as the USA and Canada, The Caribbean, Africa, The Middle East, India, the Indian Ocean, the Far East, Australia and the South Pacific, Madagascar, Reunion Island, Malaysia and Mauritius. In September 2006, Richard Branson opted that all profits that Virgin Group managed to bring in would be used in order to help research and development in sustainable sources of energy.
